At Agilent, Ms. Ballmer served as Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer, where she spearheaded the company’s first long-range strategy and led M&A transactions totaling over $3 billion, while guiding expansion into high-growth sectors such as biopharma services, precision medicine, and genomics. Allison’s prescient leadership propelled scalable growth and positioned the company for long-term success, even in challenging market conditions. Prior to Agilent, Ms. Ballmer served as International Business Lead at Roche Diagnostics during the formation of the next generation sequencing (NGS) business unit. She was entrusted to take over the foundational acquisition, where she led the largest platform development in Roche Diagnostics’ history. She played a key role in the construction of the business unit through M&A, scaling it from 30 to 1,500+ employees and launching breakthrough products. Her commercial and operational acumen, combined with her ability to navigate the most intricate aspects of global regulated markets, underpins her proficiency in leading businesses across the life sciences value chain.
